It started with the sun exploding . . . Just kidding! It started with a super early bus ride over to a Tri-Cities middle school where we attended the 2018 Cavalcade of Authors. Waking up at six in the morning for a seven o’clock bus ride is not a normal Saturday routine. There’s more coffee involved. But it was worth it.
When all the schools attending had arrived, we sat in the bleachers to learn a little more about the authors and also about this amazing program. And even better, Brooklyn won a free book and didn’t have to skip lunch to buy one. It was amazing!
